Goldentowns is a massively multiplayer free online browser strategy game where you have to manage a medieval city. It is like for example of Age of Empires, but with the peculiarity that the objective of the game is to get gold that can be exchanged for real money, (euros or bitcoins)..You have to build a prosperous city extracting resources, constructing buildings, recruiting troops, fighting other cities or countries, etc. Every day 72 units of gold can be extracted, and each gold currently is exchanged for 3 €. The game is a fight for that gold.
The game is still in beta so it is full of bugs and many options are not implemented yet, but there are already tens of thousands of players around the world and the goldentowns team answer quickly and fix any problem fast.
Each city belongs to a country. By default you will be part of the country where you live in real life when you signed up, and later you are not able to switch to other normal nation.But you will be allways able to move from any country to a private country. There are some private countries whose private owners are other players that offer bonuses to players who decide to move to their country.
